"In 2007, the Dutch Weimaraner Association came up with the idea to construct a database of all Weimaraner dogs living in the Netherlands. Data was required to be accessible via het Internet in order for information to be easily available for the association board members and regular members. As part of this, access to the data had to be prominently secured by an authorisation model. At that moment, ZooEasy was in the process of developing the Online environment. This was the reason for the association to begin working with ZooEasy.

Four times a year, data about the dogs is digitally provided by the "Raad van Beheer" (the overarching organisation for dog associations and clubs in the Netherlands). This contains a record of the litters born, import dogs and HD results. ZooEasy has a module which allows this data to be imported into the database. Foreign pedigrees are further completed by the association themselves.

In addition, the association records the results of shows, competitions and field trials. This data is supplied by the organiser of the events. Additionally, data such as medical results, date of decease, cause of death, known illnesses, measurements etc are recorded. These are also updated by the owners. Using the database, it is now possible to determine if certain illnesses occur more or less within the population.

Over time, all Weimaraner dogs in the Netherlands will be registered in our database, each including a pedigree going back at least 4 generations.

The functionality of ZooEasy is dynamic and will continue to be expanded. The ZooEasy team thinks with the user and is always approachable for new options."

Wim van Roessel,
Treasurer of the Dutch Weimaraner Association

"In April 2006, the Dutch Jack Russell Terrier Association decided to acquire the ZooEasy pedigree program. All files with regard to our breed that are known by the “Raad van Beheer” (the overarching organisation for dog associations and clubs in the Netherlands) have been transferred to the pedigree program by the ZooEasy team. Currently this database already consists of over 14.000 Jack Russell Terriers.

Medical results and other relevant information can easily and clearly be added to this database. Our secretary is now able to quickly supply members with the requested information.

The Dutch Jack Russell Terrier Association can recommend the purchase of this extremely user-friendly pedigree program to all associations and clubs and would like to thank the ZooEasy team for their excellent guidance and support."

Truus Kienhuis,
Secretary of the Dutch Jack Russell Terrier Association

"Just like the "Bonte Bentheim" pig, the Kunekune pig is a rare breed in the Netherlands. Kunekune pigs originally came from New Zealand, where they have always lived with the Maori. "Kune Kune" means "fat and round" in Maori language.

In 2005 we have imported 4 different bloodlines to Holland. At this moment we have 10 different bloodlines in the Netherlands.

The Kune Kune Vereniging Nederland (Dutch Kune Kune Society) has been established in June 2008. Since 2009 the society has been entitled by the British Kune Kune Pig Society for managing and emitting pig pedigrees.

This year the Dutch Kune Kune Society has decided to purchase ZooEasy Online software. When we first began the herd book registration in 2009, we started out with Excel to create a Dutch pedigree layout. In the beginning this was sufficient, but it was a very time-consuming task, because all information had to be added manually. We were getting more and more orders, so it was time to automate the process. This way we could simplify herd management and reduce the possibility of making mistakes.

In 2010 we started to investigate a synoptic, user friendly program for herd book registration and finally we have chosen ZooEasy. This program meets all our needs, like inbreeding calculations and the possibility to add trial pedigrees.

The software hasn't been activated for our members yet. We have to transfer all our data first and we will start online on the first of January 2012.

So far we are very pleased with the user friendliness of this program and with the ZooEasy help-desk team for their excellent support and accompaniment."

Eddy van Dijk,
treasurer of the Dutch Kune Kune Society / Herdbook Registration Kune Kune Foundation

"The Dutch Drentsche Patrijshond Club has been working with the ZooEasy stand alone package since 2003. In 2009, the association switched to the ZooEasy Online version because of the requirement within the association to be able to share information with each another. Erik Reudink took care of the conversion from Dbase to ZooEasy stand alone, allowing this to occur without any problems.

ZooEasy is user-friendly, clear and has a pleasant layout. A wealth of data can be recorded in the package such as results of eye examinations, HD, exhibitions, field work etc. Data from the "Raad van Beheer" (the overarching organisation for dog associations and clubs in the Netherlands) with newly registered litters can be quickly added by ZooEasy. Even the inbreeding coefficient is present. Adding pictures and documents, linked to a dog, is extremely usefull.

The helpdesk is very quick to solve problems, if there are any, and thinks with the customer to make the product even more fitting to our wishes. Working with ZooEasy is always quick and pleasant. The ZooEasy package is an important instrument for the dog breeding industry and heredity, and can be recommended to every association or club."

"Similar to how ZooEasy is a database in development, the Australian Labradoodle is a breed in development. Possibly this causes us to match so well.

The Australian Labradoodle Association of Europe (ALAEU) was established in June, 2009 when we started setting up the database. In this process we have received much support from the ZooEasy team. Up to now we have found working together with ZooEasy a very pleasant experience.

Although our club is still very small, we have already registered at least 800 dogs in our database. Because the Australian Labradoodle is not recognized by the “Raad van Beheer” (the overarching organisation for dog associations and clubs in the Netherlands), we have to enter all dogs ourselves on the basis of pedigrees from breeders. This works well because ZooEasy is such a user-friendly database."

Carolien van Beek,
Register Australian Labradoodle Association of Europe ALAEU

"The Dutch Association of Stabij- and Wetterhounen switched to ZooEasy Online at the end of 2008:

All of our approximately 2,200 members now continuously have access to the most recent dog data. Everyone can easily work with the program. Our members are knowledgeable about dogs, not computers, otherwise they would have chosen a different hobby.

We are very pleased with the innovative character of ZooEasy. The system is in continuous development. Also the members of our association are very satisfied with the functionality of ZooEasy Online. A new functionality that is highly appreciated by our members is the option to be able to construct trial pedigrees.

With ZooEasy Online, the association itself can arrange authorisation for members, board members and committee members, all with an individual username and password at their disposition. This provides a real sense of security. Also the fear of computer crashes now belongs to the past, with everything safely stored on the ZooEasy servers.

The implementation of the new system, including the conversion of data and support, was impeccable. It is easy to see why ZooEasy leads the market. Agreements are precisely met and if something is not possible, they will tell you. In the meantime, various associations abroad are asking if they can come and take a look."

Willem Stemerdink,
Administrator of the Dutch Association of Stabij- and Wetterhounen

"After working with ZooEasy for several months, our conclusion is that ZooEasy is an excellent way of digitally recording our paper data. Instead of endlessly going through data, this is now quickly completed with a few mouse clicks. Quick and clear, so that the 'remaining time' can be spent on entering new data.

Several fairly recent adaptations in ZooEasy have further sped up working with this program. All in all, a useful and fast way of recording and searching for data."
