In our Privacy Policy, we use a number of definitions (these definitions can be used in singular and plural):

GDPR: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation);

Regulations: these privacy regulations;

Personal Data: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”), as referred to in section 4 under 1 GDPR.

Process/Processing or conjugations thereof: any operation or set of operations involving Personal Data or a set of Personal Data, whether or not carried out by automated means, such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction of data, as referred to in section 4 under 2 GDPR.

Section 1: Explanation of the Regulations

1.1 ZooEasy may not automatically Process the Personal Data that you provide to her. The GDPR is intended to protect the privacy of individuals. This legislation restricts the permitted use of your Personal Data by others. Unider this Act, ZooEasy has a duty to its customers to, among other things:

  1. inform them of the way in which and the purpose for which Personal Data is Processed by ZooEasy;
  2. state who may view the Personal Data;
  3. request permission for the Processing of certain Personal Data.

1.2 ZooEasy considers your privacy important. Therefore, in this Regulation ZooEasy provides an explanation of how ZooEasy handles your Personal Data, what the purpose of the Processing is and on which basis your Personal Data is Processed.

Section 2: Duties ZooEasy

2.1 ZooEasy Processes your Personal Data exclusively in accordance with the law and these Regulations. This includes (among other things): 

  1. the Personal Data are processed only for the purpose for which they are obtained and with a lawful basis; 
  2. ZooEasy is transparent about which Personal Data is Processed and for which purposes;
  3. ZooEasy handles your Personal Data in a proper/careful manner;
  4. only authorized persons working for ZooEasy can view your Personal Data if this is necessary for the purposes stated in section 3, unless otherwise determined in these Regulations; 
  5. the persons working for ZooEasy have a duty of confidentiality with respect to all Personal Data provided to ZooEasy;
  6. all your Personal Data is secured by ZooEasy against unauthorized access, loss, destruction and damage of Personal Data; 
  7. your Personal Data is not kept longer than is necessary for proper administration. ZooEasy maintains a period of two years after the use of the product has ended, after which the Personal Data is destroyed. The law can prescribe a different retention period. If so, ZooEasy will adhere to the prescribed legal retention period.

Section 3: Personal data, purpose and basis

3.1 ZooEasy Processes your Personal Data if you become or are a customer of ZooEasy, register for ZooEasy newsletters or contact us via the contact form.

3.2 ZooEasy collects your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and IP address. In addition, your bank details are processed when you purchase a paid service from ZooEasy. This Personal Data enables us to:

  1. enable the financial and administrative processing of the agreement that customers conclude with ZooEasy;
  2. deliver our services;
  3. be able to reach customers or interested parties as needed;
  4. to further develop/optimize our services;
  5. offer you tailored information (direct marketing).

Section 4: Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties

4.1 ZooEasy does not distribute Personal Data to individuals or companies outside the ZooEasy organization,

unless:

  1. that is required by a statutory provision;
  2. that is necessary for the execution of an agreement that ZooEasy has made with you;
  3. you have given permission to do so.

Section 5: Your rights as a person concerned

5.1 As a person concerned, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  1. right to inspection: the right to inspection and a copy of the Personal Data that ZooEasy Processes about you;
  2. the right to rectification: the right to correct or supplement your Personal Data;
  3. the right to erasure of Personal Data: if one of the circumstances from section 17 paragraph 1 GDPR (right to erasure of data) applies. The right to request (partial) erasure of your Personal Data can only be met if the Processing is necessary for the purposes mentioned in section 17 paragraph 3 GDPR;
  4. the right to object: the right to object to the Processing of your Personal Data based on the conditions set forth in section 21 GDPR;
  5. the right to data portability: the right, in the cases referred to in section 20 GDPR, to receive the Personal Data held on you in order to transfer it to another organization;
  6. the right to human review in automated decisions: in an automated decision, there is the right to have the decision made by human intervention.

If you want to exercise your rights, you can notify us by sending an email to info@zooeasy.com. If your request is denied, you will be explained why. You will receive a message from ZooEasy within one month after receipt of your request.

If you have a complaint about the manner of Processing your Personal Data, you can also contact ZooEasy and ZooEasy will try to reach a solution together with you.
