The ZooEasy software easily keeps track of the data of all sheep breeds, with and without a pedigree. It is suitable for all sheep breeds, for example for the Hampshire Down, Katahdin or Suffolk. You keep all information of your sheep safe in the online database. You can think about the character, (genetic) characteristics, health and lineage.
Start by entering the basic data of your sheep. Register all known data, such as the name, registration number, date of birth and (for) parents. This way you can easily follow the bloodlines. Make your pedigree even more beautiful by adding photos of your sheep. With photos you can easily distinguish the animals from each other. You can also create a medical file to keep track of the health data, veterinary visits and vaccinations of the sheep.
Lowered inbreed percentage
Prevent inbreeding of your sheep through accurate administration. ZooEasy gives you insight! When entering the details, select the sheep’s parents. Our software automatically calculates the inbreeding percentage of your animals. The more generations you enter, the more accurate the calculations are. And the lower the inbreeding percentage, the better this is for the sheep’s health.
At ZooEasy we use the calculation method of Wright, supplied by the Wageningen University and Research Center (WUR). In 1921 the American genetic Sewall Wright came with the calculation that shows the likeliness that two individuals are related to each other. Essential when you work on a healthy and strong sheep breed!
Calculate the mean kinship of the guinea pigs
Mean kinship is the average relationship of an animal with the entire population. The mean kinship is a benchmark for how an animal can contribute to the inbreeding in the future of the breed. Animals with a low mean kinship are genetically new. Animals with a higher mean kinship have already left their mark on the population.

Software for one user
Do you breed on your own and you don’t have many sheep yet? Use our forever free plan. It’s perfectly suited for one user with a maximum of 25 sheep. Do you have more than 25 animals? Choose the single user plan. This software is suited for one user or a small organization, with the capabilities to add unlimited sheep.
Software for medium sized clubs
Do you breed sheep together with someone else and do you exchange information about your animals? Choose the multi user subscription of ZooEasy. This subscription allows you to manage the database with two or more individuals. You create one database and login at the same time with your unique username and password. This plan comes with two users, but we can always add more users for an additional cost.
For bigger associations
The ZooEasy software is also suitable for associations and clubs that breed sheep, such as the American Harlequin Sheep Registry. Choose the unlimited subscription plan and add unlimited users. With this subscription comes the option for the board to add members to the database, such as a sheep breeder who searches for or edits information about his own sheep. The board decides which information for members is visible and which is not.
