For this, you need an extra field. If that field is not yet present in your administration, you will have to add it first.
1. Click the menu Management
2. Click the tab Base tables
3. Click on the drop down box Contact Categories and select Extra fields Animals
4. Select Chip Number
5. Select the check mark for Display
6. Click Save
Repeat steps 3 through 5 for any additional fields you want to display
7. Click the Animals menu
8. Select an animal
All extra fields that are checked are now shown per category with name and value
